Easy access to "Blue Lines"

Blue Lines are readily available from a number of places ranging from Jasper Snowdon's "Diagrams" (the red book often found in towers) to online resources. These later resources are useful for obtaining the diagrams for many less "standard" methods and enable you to print them out.

Current "Tower" methods

These are the methods we are generally concentrating on within our usual practice night. Nothing too exotic here and what gets rung generally depends on who is at the practice. Due to normally getting 5 or 6 to a practice we concentrate on minor methods however given the numbers and experience we ring anything from Plain Bob Doubles up to Spliced Surprise Major!

Oxford TB Minor Kent TB Minor
Norbury TB Minor London S Minor
Cambridge S Minor Norwich S Minor
Carlisle S Minor Chester S Minor

Branch Practice Methods

Once a month (the first Thursday) we are joined by ringers from outside our tower to provide access to ring set 8-bell methods. The intention is to give individual ringers in the area the opportunity to ring on 8 and by agreeing the methods in advance it gives people a chance to revise or learn methods which they know there will be an opportunity to ring.

Straightforward Advanced
Plain Bob Major Cambridge Surprise Major
Grandsire Triples Yorkshire Surprise Major
Stedman Triples Lincolnshire Surprise Major
Double Norwich

These methods are intentionally "accessible" and relatively straightforward (depending on your level of experience!)
